    The Melissa Agard for Dane County Executive campaign is seeking a Campaign Manager to work with a candidate for a highly competitive Dane County Executive (Madison, WI area) campaign. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an exciting election cycle in a targeted open seat while learning critical campaign management skills in a down-ballot special election.

    As a key leader on the campaign team, the Campaign Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the campaign, staffing the candidate at public events and during call time, and managing volunteers.

    Compensation: Salary range is $50,000-$65,000/annually commensurate with experience

    This position is guaranteed through the August 2024, and if successful, through the November 2024 general election. This position will require the person to live in Dane County, Wisconsin (Madison, WI area).

    Qualifications:

    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines;
    • Great communication skills, both written and verbal;
    • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment;
    • Ability to work effectively and tactfully with the public;
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Experience with political campaigns, in a paid or volunteer capacity, preferred;

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Campaign Plan Execution: Work with campaign consultant team and candidate to implement a winning campaign plan that outlines the campaign’s efforts through Election Day, including fundraising, canvassing, phone banking, volunteer recruitment, and social media population.

    • Candidate Management: Manage the candidate’s time by scheduling times for canvassing, fundraising calls, roundtable discussion, earned media opportunities and endorsement interviews. Keep the candidate on schedule and on task. Always make sure they have the preparation and information needed to succeed, in conjunction & consultation with the campaign consultant team.
    • Fundraising Management: Staff the candidate during fundraising calls and at events. Work with potential fundraising event hosts to secure venues, order catering, print sign-in sheets, work at the event, and data enter information post-event into the campaign database. Help maintain fundraising database, including recording data from call time as well as printing call sheets, donor research and other duties related to call time.
    • Volunteer Recruitment and Management: Using the candidate’s personal contacts, county parties, and local connections, manage campaign volunteers. Secure commitments throughout the cycle and assign relevant tasks.
    • Communications: In consultation with the campaign consulting team, maintain candidate social media, help draft press releases and memos for press interviews or earned media events, scout locations for events, and provide other communications support to the campaign.
