ANALYST FOR DEMOCRATIC POLLING FIRM
The Mellman Group is looking for people who are driven by a love of data, Democratic politics, analysis and strategy to join our team as an analyst.We have been providing cutting edge public opinion research for political leaders, advocacy groups and both the public and private sector for over 40 years. As an analyst you would handle a wide range of responsibilities including:
Drafting surveys, focus group guides, and other research instruments
Research on historic data such as census, election results and voter files
Analysis of quantitative and qualitative results
Developing memos and presentations of findings and strategy
Helping to translate data into campaign plans, communications, and strategy
Participation on campaign and client calls and meetings
Day-to-day project management
Compensation includes salary, bonus, health care coverage with 100% fully employer paid premiums, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid vacation, sick, and personal leave time. Salary based on experience.
We do a combination of remote work and in-person meetings at our Georgetown office.

Requirements
Helpful skills and qualities include:
Background in data analysis or statistics
Familiarity with SPSS or similar statistical software
Strategic, logical, and analytical approach
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Detail-oriented
Creative and adaptable problem-solver
Understanding of messaging for campaigns, businesses, advocacy programs
Team player
Experience with campaigns, public affairs firms, issue advocacy groups, or party campaign committees such as the DCCC, DSCC, DGA or state parties
